// Upcycling Project

The White Rabbit was fantastic to work with throughout the process of upgrading our school library. Everything was possible from accommodating our ideas and providing wonderful solutions during the initial phase through to the construction and finalising of the project. The Wite Rabbit created wonderful designs which reflected the intentions of our students and allowed them to visualise the finished project. Clever and inventive use of materials helped to create a wonderful space for learning which is loved by all and reflects our sustainable goals. Przemek is making incredible spaces for our children to enjoy and I cannot recommend his services highly enough.

It is with pleasure that I write this recommendation for Przemek from The White Rabbit Upcycling Project. The White Rabbit was commissioned by the school to create a sensory room in the old part of our school “The Guardhouse”. This is a listed building and not as straightforward as working in a new building.

From the beginning to the end of the project Przemek and his team were approachable, open to suggestions and willing to work with the school. I was particularly impressed with how Przemek was able to explain and bring the design proposal to life and engaged with Board members and other stakeholders during this phase. He engaged with the school community and was very inclusive in his outlook. The White Rabbit // Upcycling Project use entirely recycled materials which we looked at here in the school in terms of our core strand of the Learn Together curriculum as being really important. The project was a great exercise in showing the children that using recycled materials doesn’t necessarily have to be second rate as the quality and finish to our sensory room was exceptional.

The project was completed on time and on budget. The finished project is very durable and we are very confident that it will stand the test of time in a busy school environment. The biggest recommendation for Przemek’s work in our school comes from the children. It is a joy to see them benefit from what has become a prized and magical space within the school.

From the initial consultation to our official opening ceremony, Przemek and his team have been a joy to work alongside. The quality of their work is second to none, their design is creative and engaging, their costings were exceptionally reasonable, and the overall project was completed well within the projected timeframe. Throughout the project, the children of our school became very involved and got to know the Upcycling approach of reusing, recycling, and the “green economy”.
I would highly recommend them to any school, as our collaboration with them has proven to be a very satisfying example of inclusive school improvement on a community level.

Upcycling Project has worked on a number of projects with ReCreate including the interior design of the Warehouse of Wonders and at all times I have found them inventive, creative and a pleasure to work with. I have no doubt they would bring an extra dimension to any initiative with theirs project management, innovative and practical skill base.

We now have an amazing library which the children love. There are places for children to hide and read. We can help the children to read but learning to love reading is more difficult. This library definitely helps. All our children look forward to their library slot every week.

Our school wishes to thank you for creating such a wonderful imaginative library for the children. You created a magical escape for them to enjoy reading in. It has also shown them how the clever use of recyclables can create a whole new world. Our experience of working with you was very easy. You were always professional, approachable and conscious of the end user, which was important to us.
